The Power of Positive Stress

As I stated before I am finally going to reach my weight loss goals with your help. You don’t have to do much, just by reading this, you are doing great job by causing me a positive stress.

Positive stress

I decided to make this commitment public, so I won’t back up. Revealing myself to you creates a positive or beneficial stress. Now I am forced to move my ass and show you stunning „after“ photos! For now I can only share my „before“ photo, which is actually my present.


„The positive stress, also called eustress, is a reaction we have whenever we are faced with a demand which we can handle. It is a spark that can push your body to its limits in order to achieve a certain goal.

Whenever you feel positive stress, you are encouraged to act. Whether this means growing, fighting, changing or adapting is up to you, but you will not remain complacent. In other words, positive stress makes us do things we would not normally do. It gives us that extra impulse to take risks such as asking your boss for a promotion or inviting that girl you like on a date.“[1]



I think you are getting the picture of what I am trying to do here. Because I would normally never ever did this on public. Thanks to my unability to  lose weight peacefully and quietly once and forever over the years. Instead I am exposing all my failures to everyone! Let the  shame responsibility for this blog force me when my weak moments come. Because they will come. I can already hear them sneaking from distance.

Only if I was strong enough, to win that battle before. Now I am freaking out and I must call it positive stress.
